Her journey started in a 2004 grade school Career Day when her young son described her job as someone who “sells people.” From a child’s mind, that’s a perfect description of a staff agency saleswoman, but the group of minority women there may not have heard it that way.

Women of color are increasingly embracing firearms for personal security and sport, yet there is no firearm line specifically designed with us in mind. Our Bougie Builds by The Bean line will fill this gap by offering rifles and pistols that are both functional and customizable—meeting the practical and aesthetic needs of women of color, with options for optics, grips, colors, stock length, and more.
The future of Bougie Builds by The Bean includes expanding our product line to cover a broader range of firearms and accessories, appealing to the growing market of women of color, and the men in their lives, in shooting sports and personal defense.

Our products use the strengths of the most successful handgun in The World, the Glock, as a starting platform. From there, each is built to match the personality of the buyer. Color combinations, optics, iron sights, lights, lasers (where available) reduced and quicker resetting triggers, enhanced controls for comfort and speed, and even frame modifications to fit your particular hand.
We also offer a line of pistol caliber carbines and specialize in the AR platform in any caliber. We are a full service SOT manufacturer and can provide SBRs, SBSs, and suppressors. The Bean builds them all. Attention to detail is not just in the eye of the beholder, internally, each part has been micro-polished for smooth, hiccup free operation.

Pricing is based on availability. Basic Bougie Builds start at $925. A well equipped Bougie far from basic starts at $1875. Some options may not be available in every model.
FFL Disclaimer
All firearms or regulated firearm accessories must be shipped to the holder of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL). We cannot ship to individuals without a valid FFL. It is your responsibility to complete all required paperwork when you pick up your purchase from your local dealer. It is your responsibility to contact your FFL dealer. Be aware that it is customary for your local dealer to charge a transaction fee at the time you pick up your purchase. This transfer fee is strictly between you and your local dealer.
It is your responsibility to check with your local dealer concerning any policy of this kind and concerning your obligations. By purchasing a firearm from us you acknowledge that you may have to pay your dealer a fee for transferring the gun to you. Buyer assumes all legality, liability, and responsibility for the condition, use & security/storage of the firearm purchased. It is your responsibility to ensure that a firearm is legal to own in your state.
Buyer certifies by purchasing a firearm from Bougie Builds by the BEAN that they are legally qualified to purchase and own the firearm and that there are no state or local laws preventing ownership and owner will utilize a trigger lock to prevent accidents. Buyer must be at least 18-21 years of age to purchase any firearm. Please check with your FFL / gun transfer dealer on age requirements in your state.
